This story in itself is a good argument in favour of Bahrain’s decision to abolish the sponsorship system:
A Bangladeshi worker was brutally beaten by his sponsor when he asked for his wages, according to this report in The Weekly Blitz (Bangladesh). Akteruzzaman Akhter, who worked as a pipe fitter for a construction company, arrived at the Bangladeshi embassy last week to lodge a complaint against his employer, who he feared might kill him.
According to an official from the embassy:
“He was beaten black and blue by his sponsor until he had fallen unconscious . His body bore marks of the bruises on his back and legs… The worker said when he asked for his pending salary he was subjected to harsh treatment by his sponsor,”
The embassy have now lodged a formal complaint against his employer with the police, who are investing the company to see if other workers had been abused on asking for their salaries.

in saudi arabia can not change the job sponsorship witch is againest the international labor law. i am bangladeshi i was working in in good company but suddenly they refused to extand my job because of saudi labor law ban on bangladeshi workers to change there sponsorship. really we i dont have any word how human being treating here in bad way…

Dear sir. i am living in saudi arabia for manny years. my nationality is bangladeshi, i was doing good job in some company. recntly i lost my job because saudi labor law put ban on all bangladeshi workers to transfer there job sponsorship. in suadi arabai role if some one want to apply new job have to change the sponsoreship. witch is ban from saudi govermant only for bangladeshi workers without big reason.i am joblees for 6 month because of this . really i dont know how to survive . i have my family i have to send money to them in every month witch i could not do for past 6 month. i hope one day some good people will fight against salavery labor law . what is only happening in middle east.
