Ethiopian Maid Attempts Suicide in Kuwait

Housemaids Kuwait Suicide

The Kuwaiti paper al-Qabas reported earlier this week about a case of an Ethiopian maid who attempted suicide in the house of her employer in the Ar-Rumaithiya area in Kuwait. Authorities found the maid soaked in blood, with a deep cut in her body. She was rushed to Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital and authorities are questioning what prompted this suicide attempt. In the span of a week, this is the third reported case about a suicide or a suicide attempt by a maid in Kuwait.
