Housemaids Qatar Racism

The Gulf Times, Qatar’s top-selling English daily newspapers published the following racist cartoon in today’s edition.
Instead of portraying maids as the defenseless victims of abuse, which they too often are, they are shown a child-killers. This cartoon is a manifestation of the prevalent racist attitude toward migrants in the region.

Email sent! Well done for flagging up such a disgusting example of the unfounded racism and abuse that affects the innocent victims of impoverishment. Hopefully by letting the Editors of popular local publications know that they are not immune from (even international) scrutiny we can prevent the future sensationalist broadcasting of such ignorant and repulsive views which only exacerbate the situation.
Keep up the good work Migrant Rights!

Its so weird, people from the gulf countries are racists. They look down upon brown and black people when they themselves are brown and the laziest assoles i have seen.

There is open discrimination is their countries and they suck up to white people for now reason. These people will never change. If some paper had a cartoon about their religion..all hell would break loose but these dumb fucks can say anything about anybody..damn hypocrites…

In addition for being offensive, it’s very poor from the artistic aspect. No fun at all! I wonder if there’re caricaturists who’re non-caricaturists at all!
