CNN carried a report last week about a former Indonesian sex slave in Saudi Arabia.
At the age of 17 the woman was promised a job as a maid in Saudi Arabia by an Indonesian recruitment agency. Coming from a poor family, she was happy to be selected for the job out of hundreds of other women. The employer asked for a “virgin, brown-skinned, tall housemaid”, the woman recalled.
Two weeks after she had arrived to the sponsor’s house, her abuse began. She was constantly molested, asked to massage a man’s privates, and threatened that if she refused, she won’t get paid. At her first chance to escape, the woman fled her employer and ended up in a shelter run by Indonesian. But the relief she felt was misleading – she was sold to a pimp for $1,300 and forced to work as a sex slave. She was raped and sodomized for over a year on a daily basis. She managed to escape when Saudi police raided the brothel. However, her misery didn’t end there; she was jailed for six months and only then deported back home.
The woman reported her case to the police, but the Indonesian agency that employed her has since disappeared.

I am apalled that you lived in Saudi Arabia for 7 years but were not able to comprehend things …. not knowing your background I can’t say anything for sure.
But would like to clarify very LOUDLY the place of women in Islam ….. please do not equate the word “Saudi” with “Islam”. The teaching of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) are very clear about rape, abuse or anything else.
I am sure you are aware of the recent Irish church story … I being Muslim would never say it is Christianity because Jesus was a prophet of Allah and his teachings could never allow that either.
What happened to the indonesian lady, is deplorable and very sad. Justice should be sought and those who are culprit should be punished …… their crime is not because of their religion rather because they have not followed the religion.
To all the readers: Please do not be quick in judging Islam or any other religion. Know their teachings through the source not through the ignorant people who happen are called the followers of religion just because they are born that way. There is no dearth of people who are converted to Islam all over the world …

Firstly the mathematical probability that you are or will become a terrorist is about 1100 times more than the guy who posted before you. If you think I am kidding you should read the Koran again, find out all the people causing all the terrorism in the world for the past 15 years and then go deeper and calculate. After that let me know how should I treat a guy like you. Consider it the foolishness of the non-Islamic that people from your faith are still allowed to exist on the planet.
What is currently happening in the world due to Islam are only symptoms. The real troubles lie ahead of us. The underlying problem with Islam is that it is the ‘religion’ of the bottom quartile of society as far as intellect goes. The only way to real power as far as the bottom quartile can see and also realistically is to through violence. And that is all they are doing right now and will do in the future. Rise higher in society through violence. To see it any other way is to complicate things.

What happened with the poor Indonesian girl, is absolutely wrong and the culprits should face strong punishments, which eventually takes place in Saudi law.
I’ve few questions for both of you guys (I think Varghese prefer the world DUDE). Well let me start with Dude Varghese. Mr. Varghese are you a media person ? Have you interviewed a couple of women from Saudi Arabia ? Are you a active political member ? Is there any women from Saudi Arabia has complained to you or to any one in the world about their sex life ? Do you have any close family relations with Saudi nationals so that you came to know their internal family lives, that too specifically from their bed rooms ? I don’t think you have a single answer for any of my questions. If you have no answers for my simple questions, then I advice all the fellow bloggers, such Ahmed & Qasrani not to consider Varghese in a serious manner. Dude Varghese is a kid-adult personality, just ignore him.
Now let me take on my dear racist K. In 90’s there are only few people knows the definition for terrorism, but in this millennium almost all the world knows who are the real terrorists or founders of the terrorisms. i’ve just got a sick feeling when i read this article, now you all people make our furious hatre increase !!!!!
although you all always make our feeling shredded, say bad news about us, say that you are cleverest, say you are richest than us !!!
But one thing you should know….. we always hardened as rigid as coral reef. Men just you know we always be patient to face this fact although it hurts our feeling, it feels like i want to release our most power hatre & furious to one of the citizen of yours and we will do as you did to us !!!!
But, Never Mind….. we always friendly & decent to the citizens from the others countries although they did embarassing thing & make us resentful, we never show our hatre & furious although it feels like skewered by arrogance & wickedness !!!!!

Not every muslim is bad and not every muslim is a terrorist. The terrorists follow no religion. They are just normal people who relate the voilence to Allah and islam. Islam does not teach voilence at all. I am a hindu but I always believe that islam is a very good religion but the only thing is that the terrorists have related their activities to islam to mislead innocent people. They say that its demanded by Allah and if they assist them with so called JEHAD and die, they’ll attain immortality and will go to the heaven. But Islam does not teach this at all. I would like to request all my muslim brothers to stay away from those culprits and please live a life of good individual.
People made religions so that people don’t follow wrong path but now the condition is that if two people fight, the people won’t say “2 guys fought”, rather they’ll say, “see that guy is being beaten by hindu, you know the guy being beaten is muslim”. This is where all the problems start from. A Simple fight gets more attentions and disputes of war starts.
Again, I am a hindu guy and I reiterate that Islam is a very good religion. Just my muslim brothers have to understand that Islam doesn’t teach voilence and voilence is never demanded by Allah.

Saudi is not a big place or not big population. Just petrol money will not give them power to abuse other nation people. We will wait for the day when petrol is replaced and there will be nothing for the arabs to survive and has to leave their country. We are waiting to treat them as they are treating others now.
