The Kuwaiti daily Al-Rai reported today about the case of a maid who committed suicide in Kuwait in her employer’s house in Al-Nahdha. The maid poured gasoline on her body and set herself on fire. Kuwaiti emergency crews found the black, burned body in the bathroom.
The paper doesn’t provide any identifying information about the maid such as her name, nationality or age. Newspapers in the region often don’t bother reporting the names of dead migrant workers. They are given a few lines in the paper and soon forgotten.
Over the last month there have been 13 suicide or suicide attempts by migrant workers in Kuwait, but we are yet to hear about even one serious investigation into what triggered any of these suicides.

i know many other ways less painful ways to go about this. is the law enforcment really thinking this is a suicide. come on think why would any one burn there self to death and on top of that if she was in the bath room that ment she was prob. trying to put her self out. thousands and thousands of people kill there self every year. so do some research and see how many set there self on fire. i think you will find not very many. i say this was not suicide. just common sense tells you this but here in kuwait money talks way to much.
