<description>I&#039;ve been following the tragedy in October and have seen the same stories in differing degrees thru much of the Middle East.

While it doesn&#039;t compare? I am seeing situations unfold in at least one local language school in Beirut, where debt bondage and sexual harrassment of female teachers occurs regulary. The BLC in particular claims to employ only native speakers, and yet someone with a non lebanese nationality in many cases has found themselves laid off without warning, fired when refusing the Directors sexual advances, left waiting for working papers which never come through.......

The latest report is that the staff who were working as foreign native speakers is now down to nill, since it became apparent as such teachers got arrested, or had their passports confiscated until work status was resolved. Goes to show the illegal labor market is making a killing, sometimes literally, at the expense of those willing to believe in lies of corrupt management.
