The Arab Times reported today about the case on an Indian worker in Saudi Arabia who was kidnapped by a Saudi man and brought to the desert to tend to his herd of camels.
The worker, Noushad (28) tried to contact his sponsor but his abductor threatened to kill him as he took him 180 kilometers away from the town of Al-Kharj into the desert. Noushad was treated like a slave, kept in the cold and without proper meals. A Lebanese worker who came to the farm was able to inform Noushad’s social worker that he’s kept there as a slave, and we regained his freedom. According to the report, the Saudi kidnapper was arrested.
