The Israeli worker rights NGO Kav LaOved (Hotline for the Worker) recently launched a campaign to highlight the plight of migrant workers in Israel. The NGO used the hype around the third season of Israeli Survivor, which takes place in the Philippines to show that the real survivors aren’t the contestants on the beaches of the Philippines, but the Filipino migrant workers in Israel.
To the sounds of the Survivor theme music, the NGO created a video that focuses on a few stories of abused migrant workers in Israel.
