Joyce Wanjiku, a Kenyan domestic worker was left stranded in a Saudi hospital with serious leg injuries after she slipped and tumbled down the stairs at her employer's home, according to Wanjuku's sister, her current employer could not help her sister because being her second employer exempts them from any responsibility over Ms Wanjiku. She is not able to go back home because her previous abusive employer whom she had run away from had confiscated her travel documents.
