Fifty Bangladeshi female domestic workers returned from Saudi Arabia to Bangladesh following alleged abuse by their employers. “They came from Bangladesh embassy's shelter in Riyadh. Their common complaint was: either they were not paid or were beaten by the employers" said the assistant director of the Bureau of Manpower Employment and Training (BMET), Tanvir Hossain.
