A 16-year-old overseas Filipina domestic worker named Sarapia Alim in Saudi Arabia narrowly escaped death when his recruitment agency in Saudi Arabia allegedly starved her after she left her employer who sexually harassed her. The Filipina named was abused by her employer’s son, forcing her to escape. She went straight to the office of her recruitment agency “Venos” to seek help. However, the agency allegedly took all her money and even starved the Filipina while she was seeking an refuge. The OFW’s cousin claimed in a Facebook post that the young Alim had a swollen heart and vomiting blood because of the incident.
