Kuwait passes stiffer penalties for salary delay, visa trade

Employer who delay salaries will be be fined one percent of the unpaid salaries every month, as per amendments to labor law, passed by the Kuwaiti National Assembly on June 7, 2016.

Penalties have also been raised for bringing in workers and not providing them jobs; for employing workers not on one's visa and for operating businesses after inspectors have ordered closure.
