Accessing Mental Health Services
Building a life in a new place takes courage and determination, but it can also come with feelings of homesickness, isolation, or stress. Through this series of posts, the 20th Cycle Interns aim to destigmatise conversations on mental health that have left many to suffer in silence, unable to seek support from their communities, nor access services available to them.
Collectively, we encourage members of society to spread awareness on mental health. Several ways this could be done is by ensuring mental health services are available and accessible to all groups, engaging in meaningful conversations to elevate feelings of loneliness and isolation faced by marginalised groups within society, and engaging with policymakers and service providers to remove any obstacles to accessing said services and legal protections.
